Envision 3D operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping and bespoke design/manufacturing service (the "Services"). Envision 3D is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information We Collect or Process

When we use the term "personal information," we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. We may collect or process the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with the Services:

  • Contact details including your name, address, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.
  • Financial information including payment card information, transaction details, form of payment, and payment confirmation. Envision 3D does not directly store your full card details — payments are processed securely via Shopify Payments and its payment partners.
  • Account information including your username, password, and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Transaction and enquiry information including items you view, add to cart, or purchase, and details you provide when requesting a custom quote, CAD design, reverse engineering, or bespoke manufacturing service, such as reference photos, measurements, files, or project specifications.
  • Communications with us including the information you include when contacting us for support or a quote.
  • Device information including information about your device, browser, network connection, IP address, and other unique identifiers.
  • Usage information including how and when you interact with the Services.

Personal Information Sources

We may collect personal information:

  • Directly from you — when you create an account, place an order, request a quote, or contact us.
  • Automatically through the Services — via your device and through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers — including Shopify and app partners we use to run the store, such as our enquiry form provider.
  • From partners or other third parties, where relevant.

How We Use Your Personal Information

Provide, tailor, and improve the Services — to process payments, fulfil orders, quote and manage bespoke design/manufacturing projects, arrange shipping, manage returns, and maintain your account.

Marketing and advertising — to send promotional communications, only where you've opted in, and to show relevant advertising.

Security and fraud prevention — to authenticate accounts, prevent fraud, and keep the Services secure.

Communicating with you — to provide customer support and respond to enquiries and quote requests.

Legal reasons — to comply with applicable law or valid legal process.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information:

  • With Shopify and other service providers who support our operations, such as payment processing, order fulfilment, our enquiry/contact form app, and analytics.
  • With marketing and business partners, where relevant, in line with their own privacy notices.
  • When you direct or consent to disclosure, for example to shipping carriers.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, or to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, or protect our rights and the rights of others.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information, visit Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users. You may exercise certain rights over data Shopify processes via privacy.shopify.com/en.

Third-Party Websites and Links

Our Services may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of sites not affiliated with or controlled by us. We recommend reviewing their own policies.

Children's Data

Our Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@envision3d.tech so we can delete it.

Security and Retention of Your Information

No security measures are perfect. We recommend not sending sensitive information via unsecured channels. We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, typically no longer than 6 years for order and financial records, in line with UK tax record-keeping requirements.

Your Rights and Choices

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent, for example marketing emails — use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@envision3d.tech. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, and will respond within the timeframes required by law, typically one month.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at info@envision3d.tech. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection authority, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.

International Transfers

Where we transfer personal information outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent Standard Contractual Clauses, unless transferring to a country recognised as providing an adequate level of protection.

  • Requests for bespoke design, reverse engineering, prototyping, or consultation-based services

Separate written agreements may apply to larger or complex bespoke projects.

4. Orders and Acceptance

4.1 All orders and quote requests are subject to acceptance by us.

4.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason, including errors in pricing or product information, or where a bespoke request falls outside our capability or capacity.

4.3 An order is not considered accepted until we confirm it by email or written quote acceptance.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 All prices are shown in GBP (£).

5.2 Prices include applicable UK taxes unless stated otherwise.

5.3 Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering, unless a deposit or staged payment arrangement has been agreed in writing for a bespoke project.

5.4 We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect confirmed orders or accepted quotes.

6. Made-to-Order and Bespoke Products

6.1 Made-to-order and bespoke products are produced specifically for you based on your selected options or provided specifications.

6.2 You are responsible for ensuring that all information, measurements, and files provided are accurate. Where we reverse-engineer a part from customer-supplied references, such as photos, an original sample, or measurements, the accuracy of the resulting design depends on the quality and accuracy of what you provide.

6.3 Minor visual variations may occur due to the nature of 3D printing, including layer lines, surface finish, and colour variation.

6A. Bespoke Design, CAD, and Reverse Engineering Services

6A.1 Where you commission CAD design, reverse engineering, or a bespoke prototype, we will provide a written quote outlining scope, estimated timeline, and price before work begins.

6A.2 Design and reverse-engineering time is charged for the expertise and work involved, separately from any print or manufacturing cost, and is non-refundable once work has commenced, except where we fail to deliver the agreed service or the work is not as described.

6A.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ownership of the final design files, including CAD models and STL files, transfers to you upon full payment. Envision 3D retains the right to retain working copies for support, reproduction, and quality purposes, and may showcase completed work, excluding confidential or commercially sensitive projects or where you request otherwise, for portfolio purposes.

6A.4 Where a part is reverse-engineered from a customer-supplied original, you confirm that you have the right to have that part copied, measured, and reproduced, and that doing so does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights. You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from a breach of this warranty.

6A.5 For parts intended for functional, load-bearing, automotive, marine, or safety-critical use, you are responsible for independently verifying the part is fit for its intended purpose before installation or use. We will advise on suitable materials and processes where asked, but final suitability testing and sign-off for critical applications remains the customer's responsibility unless a specific engineering validation service has been separately agreed and paid for in writing.

6A.6 One round of reasonable revisions is included in the design quote. Further revisions, or changes to the brief after work has started, may be charged at our standard hourly design rate.
